THE MITCHELL MINSTREL SHOW
BBC Radio 2

27/9/62
Note: Petula was not in this but an interesting observation in the synopsis:
"The fame of George Mitchell and his choir have come a long way since 1949, when Charles Chilton first asked them to take part in a radio series. Listeners with long memories may recall it -- it was entitled Cabin in the Cotton, and was based on the Uncle Remus stories. It featured Edric Connor and a twelve-year-old girl from South London whose name was Petula Clark."
